Can we tell you a secret? Well, maybe it’s not really a secret. Some fat is good for you! Specifically, omega-3 fatty acids lead to better health: Lower risk of cardiovascular, heart, and liver disease, improved brain function, and they work as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. That’s some powerful stuff!

One of the greatest natural sources of omega-3 are grasses and clover. THAT is why we do grass fed here at the Flying B Bar Ranch. Our cows eat a diet that directly impacts the nutrition of our beef. A recent analysis (link) showed that grass fed beef has 3 TIMES more omega-3s than grain fed beef.

Grassfed beef has 400 percent more of the essential fatty acid Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) than grain finished beef.

What is CLA? In animal studies, CLA has proven to be an anti-carcinogenic in that it not only reduces the likelihood of cancer, it aids in growth and development, strengthens bones, and improves digestion: your gut health!
